Los Angeles - Neverland

Label: Frontiers

As a big fan of Michele Luppi’s vocals in the band Vision Divine, I was excited to hear what Los Angeles had to offer. Since parting ways with Vision Divine, Luppi created melodic rock band Killing Touch as well as Los Angeles, which is also in the melodic rock genre.

Luppi covers Richard Marx’s 1994 song ‘Nothing To Hide’ along with 10 other original songs on this debut. Interestingly, guitars on many of the tracks on this album were done by Tommy Denander, whose album from his own band Spin Gallery I just reviewed.

"Neverland" suffers from a lack of varied songwriting and hooks, where all the songs sound alike and nothing stands out makes you say, "Wow, that’s pretty cool". Luppi’s vocals are good, it’s a shame they are not applied to better songs.
