Bloodbound - One Night Of Blood

Label: AFM
Format: CD/DVD

Like almost all the great and legendary Power metal bands, Bloodbound are European and from Sweden,…and naturally play a very closely pedigree to architects Hammerfall. A fairly new band, getting their start in 2004, releasing the debut in 2006, six more since…”One Night In Blood” captures their performance at the Masters of Rock festival. Being from this style of heavy metal, Bloodbound embrace all the hallmarks of traditional and power metal, which is fine. They do it well (‘In The Name Of Metal’), and we need someone from the younger generation to play this style in the present and future.

The video and audio are professionally recorded, crisp and clean with multiple camera shots that, unlike too many concert videos today, don’t fly by too fast from cut to cut. Wides and close ups staying on each member, and crowd, just long enough. The DVD, and companion audio cd includes fourteen songs, plus six bonus clips on the DVD, and a documentary. For fans of Dio, Maiden, Priest, Hammerfall, Sabaton, and the like, get Bloodbound too. I know… they aren’t doing anything new or reinventing the wheel, some of the song titles are cliché…but who cares…it’s a traditional METAAALLL not many compose today.
