Third all-instrumental offering from the Stratovarius bassist, the mild-mannered, well spoken guy with widely flared bell bottom jeans. As with the others, this is far afield of power metal, and for that matter, rock, preferring to stay entrenched in fusion jazz and only occasionally dipping its toe into heavier rock waters. The 7:39 uplifting ‘Rhapsody Of Consequences’ opener employs prodigious use of trumpet and orchestral brass section. Often ethereal and moody, some may call it film score music (and I don't mean an action movie), with all the undulations in tempo and intensity, within the same tune. ‘Dislocated’ makes predominate use of piano, Porra opting to showcase his Strato instrument of choice in a brief segment. Speaking of the ivories, only sporadic keys introduce ‘Momentary Loss Of All Hope’, a slow, crescendo builder constructed around the keyboard.

‘My Umbrella’ is a classical etude, featuring (bass/guitar) strings and harpsichord, plus a freaky, pizzicato section. The disjointed atonality of ‘Seriously Disturbed’ recalls the pre-conflict set-up in any slasher movie, ending in an over modulated, electronica fade-out that segues into a heartbeat for the start of ‘Disco Li’. The 94 seconds of electric organ, aka ‘Perfect Senses’ has a refined, almost liturgical lilt to it. As the title implies, ‘Flyover’ is a spacey, wah wah and feedback jam of prog/fusion rock. ‘The Swan’ finale is a haunting cello atop the wisps of synthesizer, that eventually matures into a full-blown (albeit only 2:05) piece for symphonic strings. Hallucinogenic!
