Wig Wam?...Really?...what the hell kind of name is that? It's not working for me. I can imagine a friend asking, "Hey who is your favorite band?" and I say "Wig Wam!" and he then says, "I said favorite band, not Nickelodeon cartoon". Second observation is what is up with this bands appearance? A bit confused maybe? When I first looked at the back of the album I thought I was looking at the guys in Hinder dressed up like Judas Priest for Halloween or something. Then when I heard the opening to the first song I thought they should really be dressed like Poison on the cover of "Look What the Cat Dragged In".

And the band member’s names??...Teeny…nice way to insult yourself, dude. Sporty, what are you... a Spice Girl? Then you have Glam and Flash… c’mon really? Gay!

Ok, now that I got my insults out of the way it’s time to get into the most important thing, the music!

Based on my first few remarks you are probably prepared for me to rain down a shit storm but that is hardly the case. What we have is really catchy arena styled hard rock with big sing along choruses and some rather nice guitar work. ‘Do You Wanna Taste It’ is so cheesy but you just cannot help but enjoy it. ‘C’Mon Everybody’ opens up like a modern day ‘Dr Feelgood’ (Motley Crue) and rocks pretty hard. ‘Still I’m Burning’ is very solid reminding me a bit of vintage Dokken meets White Lion. ‘All You Wanted’ is my favorite on this album with its excellent arrangements and infectious vocals…this could have been a Van Halen song. Teeny is very influenced by Eddie Van Halen and Vito Bratta from where I’m sitting and while Glam’s vocals are good I feel it is Teeny who steals the show on this album.

If you are a fan of the Sunset Strip 80’s metal you will surely eat this up. Beyond the silly gimmick of the band I find this album quite enjoyable. Nothing ground breaking or worthy of reinventing the metal wheel, but good enough to continue listening beyond this review. I also would not mind hearing some of these tracks live outdoors on a hot summer night as this music definitely captures that summertime vibe.

Don't let the band name and appearance scare you off and give this stuff a shot!
