Plenty of guitar sweeps and matching keyboard runs throughout the lengthy instrumental bits that seem to crop up in each of the eight compositions, ‘Speed’, the aptly named closing instrumental, being the penultimate example. ‘Instru-metal’ is also devoid of voices, lest the title fooled you. When not mimicking his hero, the music is decidedly prog-metal (see ‘Second Self’), particularly the Dream Theater-ish keys and ballady vocal lines.
