Formed in 2004, Hard is a Swedish-Hungarian appropriately named hard rock group playing for all intents and purposes, straightforward hard rock. After two successful and award nominated albums in Hungary, the band decided to move forward and hit the international music territories with English lyrics, also working with Beau Hill (of Winger/Ratt/Warrant fame) who when first hearing the album immediately asked the guys to let him remix some of the tunes.

Aside from a couple slower ballady tunes ‘The Pace And The Flow’, ‘Love Goes With Anything’, ‘Nona’, and closer ‘Four Leaf Clover’, the rest of the album is pretty solid with edgy guitars and bar room beats.

‘Time Is Waiting For No One’ is an up beat rocker with Joe Satriani style guitar leads. A 70s Deep Purple driving rhythm gives ‘My Kind Of Women’ a punch and with a little whisky from Bon Scott era AC/DC spoken vocal ‘Black Clouds’ has an Angus/Malcolm Young swagger and swing. ‘Magical Pretence’ again goes back to a more 70s style hard rock with those opening twin guitar leads, ‘Into The Fire’ is fueled by a Ted Nugent energized guitar. Not bad.
