Biohazard – Means to an End

Label: SPV
Format: CD
Released: 2005
Reviewed By: Rich Catino

One can’t help but feel like you should be kicking someone’s ass or walking down a dark garbage littered alley as you listen to the music of Brooklyn’s inner city brawlers Biohazard. These guys are New York’s answer to every South Central’s hardcore rapper, but with guitar riffs instead of a DJ.

Biohazard write music for the streets as attitude and real life is the essence to their existence and has made them one of a kind from their start in 1990. I make the comparison to a hardcore rapper as lyrics are either spoken or yelled with constant backing vocals to emphasize particular lyrics or the chorus, a part of their arrangements that is so distinctive and defines their sound.

"Means to an End" offers nothing out of the ordinary for Biohazard fans, guitar hard hitting hardcore/metal with an attitude for the streets. Now who wants their ass kicked? Hahha.
