Iced Earth hit the Nokia Theater in Times Square, New York, and played to a packed house in support of their latest release “The Crucible of Man - Something Wicked Pt.2”. The setlist included classic tracks “Pure Evil” and “Stormrider” (from the album “Night of the Stormrider”) which the audience ate up like a Thanksgiving dinner, “Vengeance is Mine” from “The Dark Saga”, and Dracula” off “Horror Show” with the song after their own heart, “Iced Earth”, closing the night.

Several were featured from the “Something Wicked” saga including “In Sacred Flames”, “I Walk Alone”, and “Behold the Wicked Child” from “Crucible” were met with lukewarm response, “Setian Massacre” and “Ten Thousand Strong” from “Framing Armageddon - Something Wicked Pt.1”, to “Burning Times”, “Watching Over Me”, “The Coming Curse”, and “My Own Savior” from “Something Wicked This Way Comes” the original catalyst to the story.

Since its inception, Iced Earth’s long time creative visionary and driving force has been John Schaffer, and for “The Crucible of Man” he has brought back the band’s classic voice Matt Barlow for the second part to the “Something Wicked” story as Matt initially sang on the now classic album “Something Wicked This Way Comes”. As you can see from the pictures the crowd and band were both fired up feeding off the energy that filled the venue.
