PYRAMAZE: Release “Immortal” on June 24
New York, NY —Locomotive Records, on June 24, becomes “Immortal” when the eclectic label releases the third album of Denmark’s Pyramaze.
Founded in 2001 by guitarist Michael Kammeyer, Pyramaze amazed with its 2004 Melancholy Beast CD. With its over-the-top Power, Prog Rock chops and distinct melodicism (three traits that have continued on all three CDs), the band—guitarist Kammeyer, drummer Morten Gade Sorensen, bassist Niels Kvist, and two Americans: keyboardist Jonah Weingarten and vocalist Lance King—garnered international acclaim.
Guitarist Toke Skjopnnemand joined in time for the 2006 follow-up, a concept album called “Legend Of The Bone Carver”.
For “Immortal”, Lance King is out, and Iced Earth vocalist Matthew Barlow is in. During the Immortal sessions, from late ’07 to early ’08, Barlow rejoined Iced Earth, but his contribution to Immortal cannot be denied!
Powered by crashing chords, lifted by harmonic and melodic inventions, buoyed by nonstop jamming amidst complex arrangements that stop on a dime, Immortal will prove to be exactly that!
